Purchase Advice: If there is one thing to spend more money on it is lighting. I chose to focus half my camera system budget on lighting. Because light and colors are lost as you descend underwater you can’t get beautiful colors, if you don’t bring the light with you! You can have an expensive camera and lens, but if there isn’t any light to reflect into the camera, you aren’t left with much of anything for your images. Although it was hard to swallow spending the money on these two strobes, I don’t regret it. The increase in image quality from my original single Backscatter Mini Flash was gigantic. All of a sudden my images looked professional, even though I was shooting an amateur lower megapixel camera and lens setup.
