Purchase Advice: Choosing a camera and housing combination is tough. Housings are expensive and specific to the camera. So it’s an investment that may not last your entire underwater photography journey. For this reason, I chose not to invest in a $4,000+ housing for an expensive camera and lens combination. Since I’m just starting to learn photography and diving, I picked an affordable system that allowed me the ability to add new ports and lens as my photography skills improved. However, should my passion of this hobby increase and I do eventually purchase a more robust housing system, I’m not out thousands of dollars.
